Subject: Spring 2021 Study Abroad Update
To the Campus Community:
The University has determined that due to ongoing travel, academic, and health and safety factors associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, all study abroad will be suspended for spring 2021. This includes Wesleyan’s programs in Paris, Bologna, and Madrid, as well as programs run by other institutions or organizations in which Wesleyan students participate.
We know this will be disappointing news for students who planned to study abroad this spring. If possible, we encourage these students to defer their study abroad plans to fall 2021. For those who will no longer be able to fit study abroad into their academic plans, we encourage them to consider alternatives including international fellowships, or study, research, or teaching opportunities abroad after graduation.

Sincerely,
Steve Angle, Director, Fries Center for Global Studies
