Subject: Accessing health services on campus

To our students remaining on campus:

Thanks to everyone who attended the Zoom meeting this evening. As we mentioned, the Davison Health Center will be in operation from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for the remainder of the semester or until otherwise announced.

As you have been advised in prior correspondence, in order to prevent potentially infecting others, DO NOT WALK IN to the health center. Instead, please call us at 860-685-2470 to speak with one of our staff members.

For the same reason, if you are seeking after-hours care, DO NOT WALK IN TO ANY EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT OR URGENT CARE CENTER.  (Of course this does not apply to life-threatening emergencies in which case you should call 911 or Public Safety). Please call 860-685-2470 at any hour to be connected to Dr. Daponte or myself. We will assess your situation and decide on the best approach for care. If we decide that you need to go to the Emergency Department, we will notify Middlesex ED so they can prepare for your arrival.

Middlesex Hospital also has a coronavirus hotline available at 860-358-6001.

Wishing everyone good health and safety,

Tom McLarney MD

Medical Director
