November 11, 2020: Staff Update

Subject: Staff Update

From: Lisa Brommer

Dear colleagues,

I hope this note finds you well. As you know, our campus will soon begin to feel much quieter as most students head home for Thanksgiving recess and remain off-campus through early February. (A small number of students have petitioned to remain on campus over the break).

A few of you have asked about the University’s plan for staffing as we approach the holiday season with fewer students on campus. Cabinet members will continue to work with their teams to determine positions that are needed on campus for student and faculty support and for other University needs. As a reminder, staff who need to request consideration due to medical conditions, childcare, or other concerns, should complete the Special Considerations form.

Thank you for all your hard work during this highly unusual semester. I know it has been an intense period for many, and I hope you are all able to enjoy some downtime during the upcoming holiday. As always, please continue to keep yourself and those around you safe through appropriate distancing, handwashing and wearing those important face coverings!

Sincerely,

Lisa Brommer
Associate Vice President for Human Resources
